Accountability - yes, you can fire a human. But you can also fire the AI, by switching to a different model or switching back to manual coding. The rest just depends on having a strong enough model.
You're saying that a definition of compromise as "concessions on both sides" is strange and original, really? Did you understand the word compromise to mean a process to which creativity is crucial, and not concessions? I'd be very surprised (and pleased) if that was how you understood the word already. It's not how it's portrayed in the article.
I would say that creativity is crucial to a good, working compromise. You do not need much creativity for a bad one (it sounds like you are focusing on that type of compromise).
I am not saying that the "original" definition of "concessions on both sides" is strange at all though — merely that this was the original (first) meaning of the word, but that it is today used for both indicating a successful idea that meets multiple goals when they are re-evaluated by their spirit, and a set of concessions that meet some but not all of the original goals or their spirit.

Yes, but that is a different kind of improvement compared to note king during a lecture as an adult. I think hadriting ability is important, I just don't think note taking dutin a lecture is useful in any way.
Or... Hear me out... Don't take notes at all. I'm sure I can find supporting material that is just much better than my paltry notes. I find that for me, it detracts from engaging with the material. I just much better prefer to listen and engage and think what is being said.
I only take notes if I am trying to work out some of the things said or as support for this or that or maybe 2 really interesting lines or quips I want to remember just so later and I find particularly surprising or interesting (or mistaken, hah).
When solving math problems, yes, by all means take notes! I find writing with a pen indispensable because it's much more flexible and expressive. And i need the memory caching that writing provides.

ISO 26262 does have serious lifecycle standards but again it’s a voluntary industry standard that has no government oversight or regulatory authority. Oversight is typically largely internal and is strongest in the auto parts/components market. It’s largely toothless to automakers/integrators and again the likes of Tesla simply don’t use it and have no obligation to.
The infotainment system itself may be QM but there has to be assurance that it is in fact separated from higher safety level system.

Yes, hence why I said I'm not sure about enforcement mechanisms how they stack up against the aviation standard. Still, in my limited experience, projects that are ASIL x take the thing pretty seriously and they do get certifications from external bodies. Actually, I am supporting an SEooC external certification right now.

The separation most likely happens _outside_ the infotainment itself, through a gateway.
They make many many many more things than just powertools. They have ebike motors, home appliances, industrial machinery, chips (they have a very good division for MEMS as far as I can tell, they make high quality IMU's, they are super popular for airbag usage), protocols (the CAN bus is BOSCH IP and you pay 1 cent royalty I think for each MCU's with CAN on them), automotive components.
I hope you have a good experience with it. I had a Bosch dishwasher in my old house for some time until a failure, and it was so absurdly quiet that the little light it projects on the floor when running was truly valuable. It cleaned well and was all around pretty great until it gave up the ghost. Unfortunately when I went shopping last year for new appliances I found out that Bosch now requires you to use their app and connect your dishwasher to WiFi to do very basic things like use Eco Mode. One assertion I will stand by to my grave is that a dishwasher has no fucking business being connected to the Internet.
I opted instead for GE Cafe / Profile appliance everywhere, which are fully usable without the app. None of my appliances have ever or will ever be connected to any network. The GE Cafe dishwasher also has a built in grinder/disposal unit which helps it deal with heavily soiled dishes much better as well as a bonus, and a fully stainless tub.
Best of luck with your new dishwasher, the Bosch units are legitimately very quiet and powerful for cleaning (I believe they're still the quietest by at least 2db on the market, and every 3db is a doubling of sound power and intensity since its a logarithmic scale).
And human perception of loudness is also non-linear. The increase necessary for a perceived doubling in loudness is frequency dependent, but at most frequencies it's higher than 6dB. At 1 KHz you need roughly 10dB increase for a perceived doubling. See:
The local consumer-affairs magazine that every country has (e.g. Which? in the UK) publishes yearly rankings of large appliances, washing machines, fridges, that sort of thing. The category washing machines and dishwashers are predictable, every single year all of the top-rated appliances are always Miele and Bosch (I think a Samsung may have crept in one year). They really need to introduce a new ranking just for these product lines, "top-ranked devices other than Miele or Bosch".
I thought the same too and I think it's horrible. It can neither be too loaded or too empty, the door doesn't stay cracked open after it dries so I have to prop it slightly open and the placement on tines on the drawers are poor and often too small. It'll probably last forever so I'll have no reason to replace it. In my last home my cheap Kitchenaid was great, I suppose I could swap them. I suppose the floor light is nice.
Whoever installed your device didn't properly adjust tension springs that keep the door open. You can do it by yourself with user's manual (that can be downloaded.)
On the flip side, I've been using them for years with no issues. I jam pack them full of filthy dishes and they come out perfectly clean every time. I use high quality detergent, rinse aid, keep the filter clean, and regularly run dishwasher cleaner through it. I wouldn't have any other brand.
Falcon rockets, starlink, Tesla. They all pushed the envelope in their field. Are the stocks overpriced? Yes. Did they do impressive technical work? Also yes. They might get surpassed by competitors, but that is to be expected for all companies. But they clearly did something special there. And I deff am no Musk fanboy, but you have to give him the credit for establishing those systems.
